Earle Palmer Brown Energizes KeySpann

BOSTON Earle Palmer Brown, New York, has created a TV campaign for KeySpan Energy Delivery. The 30-second ads, tagged “Putting more energy into life,” are running in New York and New England through the middle of next year.

In one, a kitchen assistant le thargically chops vegetables until he is invigorated by the opportunity to fill in for a sick chef. In another, two senior citizens dim the lights and turn on a gas fireplace as they dance around the living room. In a third, a family, including parents, several children, a dog, and a grandmother, huddle in one bed when the heat goes off. In the fourth execution, a father adjusts the thermostat as he comforts a crying baby. The child burps, and a voiceover says, “Gas is natural. Gas is also clean, efficient and reliable. Oh, one other thing: Gas is quiet.” The campaign, which targets investors and current and prospective customers, also includes radio and print ads. Billings were not disclosed.

KeySpan, based in Brooklyn, New York, this year completed its acquisition of New England energy company Eastern Enterprises. Comprised of components such as Boston Gas, Essex Gas, Colonial Gas, and Energy North, KeySpan serves over 2.2 million customers in the Northeast.
