Dwyer Consolidates at Saunders-Ream

DALLAS Saunders-Ream Advertising and Marketing has picked up advertising duties for Glass Doctor and Mr. Appliance, two brands of The Dwyer Group. The account acquisitions represent a consolidation of the client’s six companies.

The accounts came to the Dallas agency without a review, the shop said. Glass Doctor was formerly handled by Sarasota, Fla.-based EM Hutton Advertising, while Mr. Appliance’s advertising was previously created in-house.

Saunders-Ream is charged with building brand awareness for the two companies, said Stacy Goertz, director of marketing for the Waco, Texas-based client.

The shop already represents The Dwyer Group’s Mr. Rooter, Rainbow International Carpet Care & Restoration Specialist, Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning and Mr. Electric.

The shop will initially use existing creative developed by Glass Doctor’s previous agency. Mr. Appliance will be using materials Saunders-Ream developed on a project basis. Media outlets for both brands include broadcast and cable TV, newspaper, radio, direct response and outdoor.

Glass Doctor serves the automotive, residential and commercial glass replacement markets. Mr. Appliance bills itself as the only national franchise operation specializing in appliance service and repair.

Billings are undisclosed. The Dwyer Group spent $2.6 million on advertising last year, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
