As the world of advertising attempts to warm consumer hearts with the Christmas spirit, the Dutch State Lottery (Staatsloterij) has released its latest annual holiday season campaign. In recent years it has captured the attention of audiences while promoting its New Year draw and this year is no different.

For “Share Your Luck,” the spot features a man who shares his home with his cuckoo Fritsie, which lives inside his clock. But Fritsie is sad and despite trips to clockmaker’s and even the vet, no one can cheer him up.
