Dunkin’ Donuts Breaks New TV Spots

BOSTON–Dunkin’ Donuts will continue its year-old “Loosen up a little” theme in a pair of upcoming TV spots promoting its coffee and Value Combo meals.

In one 15-second spot, an office worker sips through a straw a puddle of spilled coffee. A voiceover says, “Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. It’s that good.” In the other, a 30-second spot, a father points out various fish to his young children in a pet shop after being denied access to an aquarium for carrying Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and food. The voiceover says, “Dunkin’ Donuts Value Combos. A breakfast that’s too good to put down.”

Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston handles the account.

The spots are set to break this Labor Day weekend and will run in major U.S. markets during season premieres of “ER,” “Friends” & “Law & Order.”

The Randolph, Mass.-based chain, which has worked with Hill since 1998, spent about $60 million on ads last year.
