NEW YORK Joan Dufresne has succeeded Richard Lee as head of account planning at Lowe in New York, the agency said.

Lee, who retained the top planning post following Lowe’s merger with Bozell in February, left the shop last month to return to his native Australia, a Lowe representative said. He had been at the New York agency since 2000.

Dufresne, who previously was evp, planning director, takes the title of evp, director of strategic services. As a department head, she reports to U.S.
