CHICAGO J.C. Penney drugstore chain Eckerd Corp. has retained ja&g advertising as its full-service ad shop following a four-month review, an agency executive confirmed.

The Cincinnati shop bested three undisclosed agencies for the $60 million account. Eckerd, a Largo, Fla.-based subsidiary of J.C. Penney, sent out proposal requests to agencies in November 2002.
