The Delta house members put on togas in 1977’s Animal House when they had nothing to lose. Houston agency principal Chuck Carlberg wore his Roman-era garb when he had everything to win.
And win he did–as his shop, Rives Carlberg, was named KFC’s advertising agency of the year at the client’s “Going for the Gold ’98” summit. Rives was also cited for best television creative and best promotion.
“We’ve worked with KFC for 14 years, and it’s a special honor when your client recognizes [its] agency partners in contributing to building their brand and sales,” said Carlberg.
Caricatured by artist Denny Whalen, Carlberg was captured holding the trophy (topped by a Colosseum-type column) and dressed in the attire of choice (KFC’s choice) for the evening.
