Draftfcb is searching for a new chief creative officer for its Chicago office, the Interpublic Group agency has confirmed.

The new hire will succeed Rob Sherlock, who is shifting to an international role. Sherlock has led the Chicago creative department since 2007.

The search will take several months, according to an agency representative.

In an internal memo, Michael Fassnacht, the president of Draftfcb Chicago, thanked Sherlock for his efforts, noting that he will remain in place until a successor is named.
