DraftDirect, Eyeing Acquisitions, Looks to Hire Jordan Rednor

Seeking to accelerate its worldwide growth, DraftDirect Worldwide plans to hire mergers and acquisitions expert Jordan Rednor for a senior global post.
Rednor, who currently serves as the principal of the Rednor Group consulting firm in New York, will be charged with leading the Chicago-based direct marketing agency’s expansion strategy. Before starting his own firm, Rednor worked with agencies as a lender at Chemical Bank in New York.
Rednor has been working as a consultant for the $1 billion agency for several years. He helped put together DraftDirect’s deal to acquire New York’s Adler Boschetto Peebles
& Partners, which was announced last week [Adweek, Aug. 4]. The $135 million agency will operate as an independent unit of DraftDirect, which is owned by the Interpublic Group of Cos. in New York. DraftDirect is in talks for another acquisition, which could be announced soon, said sources.
“All I can say is that I will be joining Draft in a senior capacity to help guide the company strategically, including acquisitions,” said Rednor. DraftDirect chairman Howard Draft called Rednor “a close friend of the family” who has consulted on a number of deals, including the purchase of sales promotion agency D.L. Blair in New York in April. He declined to give specifics on Rednor’s future role.
The agency is seeking deals both in the U.S. and overseas. “We have a three-pronged strategy for growth: grow existing client business, win new business and acquire companies,” said Draft.
