Draft Plugs In Jones on Nokia

CHICAGO Draft here has hired account and creative directors for its Nokia retail business, which the agency picked up in February as part of an Interpublic Group team, according to the shop.

Nicholas Jones, 38, was named an svp group account director for Nokia. Jones was most recently an svp director of account services at independent Upshot in Chicago. Taking over as svp group creative director on the account is Steve Nubie, 52, who previously ran his own consultancy. Prior to that Nubie worked for McDonald’s Corp. in Oak Brook, Ill.

Draft won a review to handle the European launch of a next generation cell phone along with IPG shops Lowe, R/GA, Draft and Jack Morton. The work is expected to expand globally.

WPP Group’s Grey, which participated in the review for the new cell phone, continues to handle Nokia’s $70 million U.S. account.
