BBDO Chicago was awarded creative duties for the Ziploc brand by DowBrands in Indianapolis after a creative shootout that began last October.

BBDO competed with Bozell Worldwide in New York and incumbent Campbell Mithun Esty in Minneapolis for the assignment. CME will continue to handle the home care division of DowBrands, according to a company spokeswoman.

DowBrands spent $19.1 million on Ziploc in 1996, according to Competitive Media Reporting data.

Creative from all three agencies was tested before BBDO was chosen.
