Jonathan Epstein has stepped down as the CEO of the in-game advertising firm Double Fusion. Epstein is being replaced by Alex Sood, who previously led the company’s Asian division.

According to a spokesperson at Double Fusion, Epstein left the company to “pursue passions outside of gaming.” However, Epstein is a gaming media veteran, having previously served as evp and general manager, media division, for IGN Entertainment and founding president and CEO of GameSpot.com.

Sood’s selection comes as the in-game ad space looks to bounce back from a brutal 2009, which saw rival firm IGA put itself up for sale as it desperately sought funding.
