Dot.coms Fuel RNF Growth Spurt

RNF Media has increased its billings by one-third over the past two months, reaching $200 million, thanks largely to dot.coms.
The Beverly Hills, Calif., media services company has signed seven new clients, including online companies eHealthInsurance, eHomes, LuckySurf, the BigHub and the BigStore. It has also picked up the accounts of the Grand Victoria Hotel & Casino near Chicago and Ruidoso Downs Racetrack & Casino in New Mexico.
“It’s been a lot of hard work,” said RNF partner and vice president Roger Riddell. “We’ve also been getting leads and referrals from companies we’ve worked with.”
Agency president Brian Fernee added that the 26-year-old company has been able to capitalize on its status as one of the few remaining independent media services on the West Coast. “Our size allows us to attract the types of accounts we want,” he said.
Hawk Directions, the media management unit of San Francisco-based Hawk Media, is one of the companies RNF has worked with that has given referrals to the agency. RNF handles media placement and Hawk provides media planning for and, for example.
RNF’s other accounts include regional media buying for Burger King in California and Hawaii, Corbett Canyon Wines, Suzuki’s marine division and the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.
