Doremus Hires Louie as Creative Director

NEW YORK Doremus said it has hired Ron Louie as creative director.

Louie, 46, has been freelancing at the agency here for the past eight months, working as an art director on various campaigns.

Prior to joining Doremus, Louie worked at DCA in New York on the Canon business. As a creative director, he helped develop campaigns for Canon cameras and the business office solutions division. He has also worked at DDB in New York, creating ads for Seagrams, NEC and Michelin.

Louie is the first full-time creative hire made by Michael Prieve, who joined Doremus as chief creative officer in May from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, where he was a creative director.

“Ron has already added his special brand of creative excellence to some of the Doremus work that will be breaking very soon, and it’s exciting to know he will now be a full-time member of our team,” Prieve said, in a statement.

Louie received his training at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif.
