Doe-Anderson Gets Computrex,

Doe-Anderson Advertising and Public Relations has added a pair of new accounts with cumulative billings in the “mid to high seven figures,” said agency president and chief executive officer Dave Wilkins.
Computrex, a logistics and supply services company based in Doe-Anderson’s hometown of Louisville, Ky., hired the shop as its first agency of record.
The shop also landed advertising and public relations duties for, a maker of educational programs for online investors.
Computrex arranges the transportation and warehousing for 350 clients across the U.S., including Costco, Colgate, Kroger, McGraw-Hill and Whirlpool. It finds the most competitive price, then helps control inventory through the shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished goods.
Ed Lindquist, client executive vice president of strategic planning and marketing, said a meeting was held for 12 Louisville agencies at Computrex “to make sure they all got the same presentation.”
Lindquist subsequently visited eight shops, which were reduced to Doe-Anderson and PriceWeber Marketing Communications. After another visit to both shops with client executives to hear pitches, Doe-Anderson was named the winner “because of its business-to-business experience and ability to provide a number of services under one roof,” Lindquist said.
