In April, as the coronavirus continued its deadly march across the U.S., more than 1,500 hate crimes were reported against Asian Americans. They are being unjustly, and unbelievably, blamed for the disease.

“We are in 2020 and look at what happened,” asks Cynthia Chen at Adweek’s first-ever Diversity and Inclusion Summit on Wednesday. “It’s almost unbelievable, right?”

Chen, who is president of consumer health for Reckitt Benckiser, talked about the challenges and solutions with Claudia Romo Edelman.
