NEW YORK Digitas has promoted Torrence Boone to managing director of its Chicago office.

Boone replaces Reuben Hendell, who is returning to the New York office to oversee business development and manage client relationships in the region. Reporting to Laura Lang, president of Digitas in New York and Chicago, Boone will run the Chicago outpost, which handles clients like Best Buy and Allstate.

Most recently, Boone, 34, led the global healthcare, pharmaceuticals and package-goods practices at Digitas in Boston, overseeing the Bayer, Millennium and Gillette accounts.
