BOSTON Independent relationship marketing agency Digitas has named former Fidelity Investments executive Gail McGovern to its board of directors. McGovern, 51, is currently a professor of management practice at Harvard Business School.

Prior to joining Harvard nearly two years ago, she served as president of Fidelity Personal Investments in Boston, overseeing the company’s retail mutual fund operations and brokerage business. In that role, she guided the company’s $75 million advertising account, which during her tenure was led mainly by Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, and later by Havas-owned Arnold, both in Boston.
