The pandemic has set back gains that were being made

Claudia Edelman spent most of her career working through crises, whether that be in roles for Unicef or the World Economic Forum.

The Mexican-born founder of the We Are All Human foundation said the Covid-19 pandemic has set back the gains made by U.S. Hispanics in recent years. “We were a rocket about to take off. Young, creating jobs, entrepreneurs, our purchasing power, the incredible promise. And all of a sudden, the comet happens.”

Edelman, in conversation with Verizon CMO Diego Scotti at Wednesday’s Diversity and Inclusion Summit, said now is the time to ensure a greater voice for underrepresented communities,—before it’s too late.
