DeVito/Verdi last week broke a witty new outdoor and print campaign for Canon copiers which avoids the stodgy salesmanship found in much business- to-business advertising.
Instead, the ads poke fun at the stress caused by demanding bosses and clients by inventing a fictitious world where the quality of copies doesn’t matter and management is forgiving. The ads utilize old black-and-white photos with cartoon bubbles added.
In one ad (shown here), a secretary asks her boss, “What should I do, sir? The fax machine is down.”
