LOS ANGELES — Mitsubishi’s plans to expand distribution into Canada have lead to a similar expansion from its US agency, Deutsch.

The agency, whose office here handles the automaker’s domestic advertising, is in the process of opening a seven-person office in Toronto and a four-person office in Montreal within the next two weeks, said Mike Sheldon, managing partner and general manager of Deutsch LA..

The Toronto based Mitsubishi Motor sales of Canada conducted a review that involved at least five undisclosed Canadian-based agencies along with Deutsch, sources said.
