Atlanta Outdoor Effort Presents Union’s Side of Contract Dispute
ATLANTA–Leo Mullin cannot enjoy his morning drive to work. Along with other drivers heading for Hartsfield International Airport, Delta Air Lines’ chief executive officer is confronted by a 14 x 48-foot billboard stating, “Delta, the Pilots are Ready. Are you?”
The sign, erected by the Delta Air Lines Pilots Association (DALPA), is the latest salvo in the ongoing contract battle between the Atlanta-based airline and its 9,400 aviators.
“The billboard was intended to send a message to Delta management that the pilots are ready for a new contract,” said DALPA representative Karen McGuffey.
