Once gets the feeling, however, that if the producers thought they could get away with it, they would. The pageant has survived feminism only to face ratings erosion. So, in another example of the boundless imagination of the TV networks, Miss America is borrowing from the quiz-show and reality-TV genres, including the notion of a Survivor-like jury of one’s peers.
