DDB’s Brossard Rises to New Global Post

NEW YORK Omnicom Group’s DDB Worldwide said it has promoted Hervé Brossard to the new post of chief client officer. He had been CEO and chairman of DDB’s operations in France.

Brossard, 56, will work closely with the shop’s 12-plus global business directors to expand client service offerings, DDB said. He’s also charged with addressing the business concerns of senior client executives and prospective clients.

“Both talent management and client understanding continue to be top priorities for us,” said DDB CEO Ken Kaess, to whom Brossard reports. “[His] new role, structured around client knowledge acquisition and sharing as well as working with our worldwide account directors, is consistent with and in recognition of those priorities.”

Succeeding Brossard as head of DDB France Group—which includes nearly 10 offices of DDB and its below-the-line affiliates in direct and interactive marketing and design, etc.—is Jean-Pierre Séguret, who takes the titles of president and CEO. Previously, Séguret was vice president and managing director of the group.

Xavier Romatet and Bertrand Suchet were each promoted to co-president, to help manage the group. Romatet previously was co-managing director of DDB Paris, and Suchet was president of that office. Suchet will retain his Paris president’s duties.
