NEW YORK — Citing personal reasons, Rafael Vegas is resigning as president of DDB Venezuela.

Rafael has been with the agency for 15 years and said only that he wishes to “take a break” and has no other plans in the industry at this time.

Steve Burton, president of DDB Latin America, said that the agency will begin an immediate search for a successor. In the interim, Ramon Guzman, account vice president, and Eduardo Vegas, an account vice president and son of the departing executive, will oversee the daily operations of DDB Venezuela, which is headquartered in Caracas.
