LOS ANGELES Omnicom’s DDB has named Nick Bishop president and CEO of its office here, the agency confirmed. Bishop, former evp and director of global accounts at Grey Global Group/G2, New York.

He begins at DDB on Nov. 1.

The agency said Bishop, 45, would partner with Mark Monteiro, chief creative officer and chairman of DDB’s Venice, Calif., shop.

“DDB and Omnicom seem to be a great place to be,” said Bishop. “It is an agency and a network that is doing amazing things. And I wanted to get back to the West Coast.”

“Nick is a truly international and integrated agency guy who brings the rare combination and experience of having run agencies all over the globe, working on the client side and running his own consultancy firm,” said DDB North America president Dick Rogers in a statement. “He has a proven track
record of partnering with and delivering creative solutions for clients.”

“Nick is the kind of person who will send a clear message to our people, our clients and to the market that DDB L.A. is focused and committed to creating and delivering holistic and influential communication and business solutions,” said Monteiro in a statement. “Nick brings exactly the right balance of energy, experience and creativity to DDB.”
