DDB has reached into its Australian group again to find a leader for its New York office.

Chris Brown, who since 2012 has been Australian CEO of DDB Group, is now president and CEO of New York. He succeeds Peter Hempel, who shifts to the new role of CEO of DDB Group, a larger collection of agencies that includes DDB, Tribal, DDB Remedy and Uproar@DDB. Hempel had run New York since 2005.

The office also found its creative chief, Matt Eastwood, in its Australian ranks, in 2010.
