Davis Scores in Education, Finance, Cable

BOSTON Davis Advertising said it has added the University of New Hampshire Extension for a statewide social marketing campaign.

The push targets New Hampshire’s low-income families and senior citizens on topics such as nutrition and tax preparation assistance. Worcester, Mass.-based Davis will create TV and radio spots and provide media placement. Newsletters and the creation of a Web site are also part of the project.

In addition, Legacy Bank in Pittsfield, Mass., has hired Davis for marketing chores. Print and radio will form the basis of the campaign.

“We have a long history serving higher education as well as financial institutions,” said Andy Davis, president of the 50-person independent agency. “Having an unusually comprehensive understanding of their respective fields, we can bring a smarter perspective to these new clients’ assignments. Obviously, we’re pleased to begin to get to work, and help them boost their market visibility and project goals.”

Davis also recently added marketing duties for several divisions of telecommunications company Charter Communications, including work in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

The budgets for the assignments were not disclosed.

Davis handles a mix of consumer and business-focused accounts in Northeast and mid-Atlantic states. Other clients include Fidelity Bank and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, as well as numerous auto dealer groups.
