Instead of hanging an ad in the lobby of all 25 floors that Young & Rubicam Inc. occupies at 285 Madison Avenue–where the work traditionally appears each month–Ferguson, then the new chief creative officer and president of Young & Rubicam, posted blank sheets with tiny copy at the bottom: “There will be no ad of the month for May.
