Courtney Will Invite Latinos To Love Lucy For Oreck Vacuums

Courtney & Watson Advertising in Miami has been appointed to handle the Hispanic marketing initiative for Oreck Corp. vacuum cleaners.
The client, a manufacturer of high-end vacuums based in New Orleans, is one of the largest direct response advertisers in broadcasting.
The agency’s first assignment is to create a direct response television campaign utilizing “celebrity homemaker” Lucy Perrera, who the shop describes as having the same image for Hispanics as Martha Stewart does for Anglos.
The TV campaign will first air in Miami with a $500,000 budget, which will help the agency and client assess spending levels beyond that market. The work is scheduled to break in the first quarter of next year.
