American Airlines, long a dominant carrier in the Latin America market, has launched a new Spanish-language in-flight periodical it said will be among the few magazines reaching a pan-Latin audience on two continents.
American Airlines Nexos has been founded with an initial circulation of 205,000, available in the seat-back pockets on flights originating from 33 points in Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Madrid, Spain.
Rick Morrison of American Airlines publishing group said the Spanish- and Portugese-written Nexos will explore “the people, places and passions of the Latin American culture.”
AA has a 63 percent share of the Latin American market and carries more than
13 million passengers a year.
