Conn. Agency Hires Media Chief

Workman Leaves Avon Shop for New Haven
BOSTON–After a four- month search, Mason & Madison, New Haven, Conn., has named Jude Workman media director.
Workman, who begins her new job today, had served as media director at Martino & Binzer in Avon, Conn., for the past two years. Her former boss, Dave Martino, called Workman “a consummate professional . . . well-versed in media.”
“She’s got a really good balance of print and broadcast experience, and a great mix of consumer and business-to-business accounts,” said Mason & Madison executive vice president Harry Viens.
Workman will oversee a media department with a staff of only two, although Viens said plans are under way to help the department grow.
“One of her charges is to build that department. We want to have a media department renowned for its planning ability,” said Viens. Workman could not be reached for comment by press time.
Workman replaces Robin Donovan, who left the agency after 14 years to become an associate media director at Blau Marketing in Wilton, Conn.
Separately, Mason & Madison has beefed up its creative department by adding Jeff Wright, an art director most recently with Kelly Michener in Lancaster, Pa. During his five-year tenure there, Wright worked on the First National Bank of Maryland and Turkey Hill Ice Cream accounts.
