ConAgra Awards Snack Foods to Fallon

CHICAGO ConAgra has tapped Fallon as lead agency for its snack foods division, which includes its Orville Redenbacher popcorn brand, the client confirmed.

The Minneapolis agency won the business following an informal review, according to client representative Chris Kircher. “From time to time, we re-evaluate the needs of our brands,” Kircher said.

The company is currently reviewing agencies for its $15-20 million Banquet brand, and may be shifting some other assignments, according to sources. Kircher would not comment on any other potential assignment shifts.

Billings for Fallon’s assignment were undisclosed, but the Omaha, Neb., company spent $25 million last year advertising its snacks, which in addition to Redenbacher include Pemmican, Act II popcorn, Slim Jim and David and Sons.
