NEW YORK Comcast said Wednesday that it has withdrawn its unsolicited $48 billion offer to buy Walt Disney Co. because Disney “steadfastly refused to open negotiations.”
During a conference call with investors, analysts and media to discuss the company’s first-quarter financial status, Brian Roberts, Comcast chief executive, related that the two companies would not become one.
