DALLAS Comcast Cable today unveiled a new offering on its roster of high-definition TV programs with the addition of the Discovery HD Theater channel in the Dallas area.

More than 500,000 homes within Comcast’s service area have HDTV-ready TV sets that utilize HD-enabled Digital Cable boxes, company officials said.

Customers will get the 24-hour Discovery HD Theater at no additional monthly charge. Programs include Arctic Mission, Dinosaur Planet, Top 10 Coasters, and special episodes of Trading Spaces and The Jeff Corwin Experience.
