Colangelo, Schick Top Conn. Show

BOSTON Colangelo Synergy Marketing won best-of-show honors at the 52nd annual Ad Club of Connecticut Awards on behalf of work produced for Schick.

Colangelo also won nine golds, tops on the night. Its best-of-show winner helped introduce the Schick Quattro Power razor. The Darien, Conn., agency’s print-based efforts for the shaving-systems giant also copped the gold pen prize for outstanding copywriting.

Adams & Knight in Avon, Conn., took home six golds, second best on the night. Happy Dog of Westport, Conn., placed third with five gold prizes.

More than 160 awards were presented across more than 50 categories, from posters to outdoor billboards, annual reports to collateral, TV to radio, and Web sites to corporate videos.

The event was held on Tuesday at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, Conn. Damon Scott of WTIC-FM served as master of ceremonies. Several hundred local agency executives, clients and guests attended.

The gold brush for outstanding art direction went to Outhouse Communication of Fairfield, Conn., on behalf of client Operation Respect CT.
