ATLANTA Despite a strong second quarter with net income up 9 percent to $1.7 billion, top executives at Coca-Cola said they continue to look for the kind of advertising that once defined the company.

In response to a question from an analyst about Coca-Cola’s advertising during a conference call last week, Neville Isdell, the Atlanta-based company’s chairman and CEO, said Coke is looking for “iconic advertising” that can promote the brand worldwide.
