The Chicago advertising community celebrated its 98th year of support for the Off the Street Club on the city’s West Side with its annual holiday fundraising luncheon last week.
A record $350,000 was raised. And Bozo the Clown was there, of course. But the star was Melvin Martin, runner-up to Antonio James for Boy of the Year honors and a young man with a future as a copywriter.
“I really thought this was my year,” Melvin deadpanned.
