OAKLAND – Clorox Co. last week announced a previously anticipated shifting of agency assignments that means a significant boost in business to Foote Cone & Belding and Young & Rubicam, both of San Francisco. The changes follow Clorox’s decision to drop DDB Needham/Chicago after that agency acquired new business from Clorox competitor S.C. Johnson. FCB picks up Soft Scrub and Clorox Clean-Up from DDB as well as the $8.7 million Pine-Sol business from Y&R. Ad spending in 1992 on all of those products totaled $23.2
