The Clio Image Awards Gets a Bigger Platform as It Joins the Main Show

Jury announced for 2016 fashion and beauty honors

The Clio Image Awards, celebrating the best in fashion and beauty advertising, will now be part of the main Clio Awards presentation honoring outstanding achievement in global marketing and communications. The awards gala is set for Sept. 28, 2016, in New York at a venue to be determined.

Combining the shows will provide an elevated platform for the Clio Image Awards, which previously had a separate ceremony.

"When we launched Clio Image in 2013, it was a first-of-its-kind competition started from a need to highlight the fantastic work coming out of the beauty and fashion industries," said CLIO president Nicole Purcell. "In the last two years, the program has continued to grow, and we want to ensure its success with an iconic platform like the CLIO Awards."

There are also two new Clio Image categories for 2016: Social Media and Photography. The first entry deadline is Jan. 29, 2016, with onsite judging set for May in New York.

In addition, entries for next year's Clio Image Awards will be judged by a split jury of industry experts: one panel for Prestige and another for Mass submissions. (The first covers luxury products, the latter mid-market goods.)
