Journalists aren’t alone in feasting on President Clinton’s inappropriate relationship with Monica Lewinsky. A few ad agencies have used a symbol of his impropriety–Lewinsky’s allegedly stained dress–to create some humorous ads.
In Israel, a 30-second TV spot for Biomat detergent used the dress to show that the product is powerful enough to turn a blue dress “whiter than white.” Two mock FBI agents who enter the home of “Monika Lavinsky” and cleanse the garment.
The spot, created by a Tel Aviv agency, broke the same day Clinton testifed before a grand jury.
Two weeks earlier, Meurice Garment Care placed a print ad from The Ad Store, New York, in the New York Observer that boasted: “Yes, Mr.
