NEW YORK — Cliff Freeman and Partners has laid off 12 of its 110 staffers, the agency confirmed.

The cuts were across all disciplines, in part, because of the recent loss of the $80 million Hardee’s account in late October, sources said.

“Over the last six months, agencies have been laying off people, and we have tried at all costs to avoid that,” said Charles Rosen, svp, director of business development. “We’re one of the last to have layoffs but unfortunately, with the loss of some business and the current economic climate, we regret that we had to make cuts.”
