CHICAGO–Clark Retail Enterprises last week launched a campaign from Schafer Condon Carter Advertising tagged “Clark: We’re the real deal.”
Three 15-second TV spots are airing throughout Illinois. Also part of the campaign are local marketing tie-ins and promotions orchestrated by the Chicago agency.
Schafer Condon Carter won the account, with estimated spending at $2 million, in April 1997.
John Matthews, vice president of marketing at Clark, Glen Ellyn, Ill., said the campaign takes a value message.
Clark, which earlier this year acquired the White Hen Pantry store chain, owns and operates 900 stores under the Clark brand, mostly in the Midwest and South-Central U.S.
