BOSTON–Citizens Bank is expected to name Rapp Collins for a wide-ranging $5-10 million direct marketing assignment, sources said. Citizens executive vp, marketing, Theresa McLaughlin on Friday said “Rapp Collins is certainly in the lead” among agencies that have been pitching the account, but she declined to confirm the New York shop’s selection. Arnold, Boston, the lead agency for Citizens’ media advertising, and Syracuse, N.Y.-based incumbent Sigma Marketing Group have been participating, but it is unclear if either reached the final round.
