Verizon launched a series of Citizen Verizon Assemblies on Tuesday, featuring CEOs at some of the nation’s largest brands discussing how they can do more to work toward social, economic and environmental advancement.

The first assembly focused largely on racial injustice in society and the workplace, with an opening panel featuring celebrity social justice advocates, including moderator Karamo Brown of Queer Eye fame, Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi, educator and school reform activist Geoffrey Canada, and co-founder and executive director of Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls Meredith Walker.
