Cingular, the newcompany formed by the merged wireless operations of SBC Communications and BellSouth, has launched a review for its more than $20 million His-panic advertising account, sources said last week.

The competition is being handled by Wanamaker in Atlanta, the same consultancy that is managing Cingular’s $250 million review for its general market advertising account. A decision in that contest was expected late last week.

Candidates for the Hispanic business are expected to meet with the client this week for a briefing on a creative assignment.
