NEW YORK-Peter Chrisanthopolous, president of national broadcast and programming at MindShare North America, is joining fledgling Spanish network Azteca America Network as president and CEO of sales and marketing.

In his new post, Chrisanthopolous will battle with two established rivals in the Hispanic marketplace, Univision and Telemundo.

He is the second veteran national TV executive to depart a media agency for an entrepreneurial challenge in the past two months. Earlier this fall, Bill Croasdale, the legendary 40-year TV-buying veteran, left Initiative Media North America to launch a sports marketing company with his son.
