Choice Hotels has selected the New York office of McCann Erickson as the brand's new lead creative agency and sister shop MRM//McCann for digital and customer relationship marketing efforts.

Media spending on the brand totaled nearly $50 million in the U.S last year, according to Kantar Media.

The selection follows a review in which the other finalist was Deutsch in New York.

In 2009, Leo Burnett landed lead creative responsibilities for the hotelier while Doner won promotional duties.
