Chipotle Mexican Grill has named Minneapolis-based Compass Point Media, a unit of Campbell-Mithun, for buying and planning chores following a review.
The 900-location Denver-based chain last year selected independent Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners in Sausalito, Calif., which in May broke a push dubbed, “My Chipotle” touting restaurant items and ingredients.
Butler, Shine is now off the roster, and creative will be handled in-house.
The restaurant chain has spent $7-10 million in domestic measured media in recent years, per Nielsen.
Said Mark Crumpacker, chief marketing officer at Chipotle: “The Compass Point team really demonstrated a keen understanding of our brand and the ability to help us achieve our marketing goals.”
