CHICAGO – The Chicago Ad Fed announced last week it is releasing funds to support a minority talent hotline proposed last year by Lowell Thompson who heads up African American Associates. The CAF will fund $3,000 per month during the next five months. Once up and running, Thompson will source and represent minority creative suppliers, freelance art directors and copywriters. Under the plan, a commission charged to the talent on the work generated from agencies and companies using the hotline will make the program self-supporting.
